The purpose of remote monitoring is to make it convenient for users in the WAN to check the real-time status of the printer registered under their names and carry out control functions which include Take Photo, Pause Job and Cancel Job. The remote monitoring function is completely cloud based, only printer owners have access to the remote monitoring functions and pictures. UniZ does NOT have access to the remote monitoring functions nor the pictures.
Preparations
1) The firmware version of the printer needs to be 3.14 or higher.
How to check the firmware version?
Open the printer control panel and the information of the firmware version is displayed.
Method 1: Enable the remote monitoring in UniZ Desktop
(1)Click the printer icon / to open the Printer Control Panel
(2)Click Printer Settings Button to open submenus
(3)Click menu to turn on the remote monitoring.
Method 2: Enable the remote monitoring in UniZ App
(1) Click the Printers in the main menu, and select a printer in the printer list.
(2) Open the printer control interface.
(3) Click button to turn on the remote monitoring.
Functions Illustration
Users can check the real-time status of the printer under their names and carry out the snapshot and other functions from their UniZ App or Web dashboard ( https://www.uniz.com ).
App
(1) Click the Remote Monitoring in the bottom table bar and all the activated printers under the login account will be listed.
(2) Select the printer from the list and open the printer control panel.
(3) The printer status is on the upper half and the control panel is at the bottom.
